About this home
Three hundred years old, restored by my family over eleven years, and still built the way it always was — metre-thick globigerina walls, vaulted ceilings, and a courtyard the house wraps around.
The pool sits in the courtyard, shaded in the morning and in full sun from noon. Three double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a bread oven that still works if you are patient.
Xagħra village square is a six-minute walk. Ramla Bay is ten minutes by car. There is no lift and there never will be; the stairs are stone and steep.

The photographs do not oversell it. Quiet at night, hot water at full pressure, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook properly.

Good value for the location. The building is older but the flat itself has been done properly and the bed is genuinely comfortable.
